Beth is ASMI president and chief
staff executive
for
several ASMI clients, leading the staff service teams and ensuring the annual
work plans are successfully executed. In collaboration with ASMI’s chairman,
she directs application of company resources to fulfillment of commitments to
clients. She is a recognized leader throughout the broadly defined emergency
services sector. She developed and is responsible
for
supervising the Certified Emergency Manager® (CEM®) Program. Her education
includes a B.B.A. in Marketing from The College of William and Mary, and a
Master of Association Management from The George Washington University. She has
been a Certified Association Executive since 1992. “The CAE program stands as
a mark of excellence and reflects what it takes to manage an association in
today’s challenging climate,” according to the American Society of
Association Executives (ASAE). She has expertise with federal grants procurement
and management, certification program development and administration, non-profit
governance issues, and the entire scope of successful nonprofit operations. She
is a member of the Metropolitan DC-Area Certification Networking Group, the
Washington Association Financial Management Roundtable, Greater Washington
Society of Association Executives and ASAE. Beth has worked at ASMI since 1987.
